TRANSATLANTIC LEGISLATORS’ DIALOGUE
Brussels & Washington, DC – 24 August 2020
08-24-2020
The Transatlantic Legislators' Dialogue Co-Chairs Radek Sikorski and Jim Costa, along with the Vice-Chairs of the European Parliament Delegation for Relations with the US, the Chairs of the EP Foreign Affairs and International Trade Committees and of the Delegation for relations with the People's Republic of China, issued a statement highlighting four main objectives: helping to overcome the acute health crisis; exiting the economic recession quickly; showing transatlantic leadership in the international arena and collaborating on China and Russia.
A huge step forward towards the institutionalization of a direct relationship/collaboration between the E.U. and the U.S.A. on global issues. The correct legislation is a lifesaver. “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” (Benjamin Franklin).
