As summer fades to fall, we invite you to explore educational resources from Mount Vernon that will help bring history to life for students from Kindergarten all the way to 12th grade. Our educational materials are easily adaptable for use in virtual, in-person, and hybrid classrooms, as well as for homeschool co-ops and learning pods.

Students of all ages can explore more than 500 points of interest and videos from our preservation experts and interpretive staff. This new online tour is compatible with Facebook Oculus and Google Cardboard.

Play our award-winning game, based on primary sources. Players analyze information and consider multiple perspectives in order to make a decision about a situation George Washington confronted as commander in chief or president.

Bring Mount Vernon into your classroom this Fall with our new Distance Learning programs. Explore the estate on a guided Virtual Tour, examine a primary source from our collection, play a facilitated game of Be Washington, or dive into Washington’s leadership traits.

All programs are hosted by a Mount Vernon expert in a private digital classroom and are designed K12 and homeschool audiences. Registration opens in September.
